Those for whom it is not practical to invest in property in London will not be missing out on high returns by looking more regionally. That is according to Peter Mindenhall, researcher at IPINGlobal.com, who says that while capital cities will always tend to outperform the rest of the country, there are opportunities for property investors across the UK.
Mr Mindenhall suggests that in the current climate, building purchasers will have to put a little more effort in to discover a good property investment bargain, but assures investors that they do exist, especially in cities that are experiencing redevelopment or capital influx from institutions and tourism.
"These are all positive aspects that will reflect well on the long-term growth and desirability of an area," he explains. The comments come after LSL Property Service revealed that Greater London saw the smallest growth in home and office space transactions in the country between March and May 2011.
