Latin America in a Strong Position

A new report has suggested that the outlook for real estate in Latin America is positive. Consultancy firm Jones Lang LaSalle has made the predictions based on the region's sustainable economic growth.

Speaking at a conference in the US, Pedro Azcue, chief executive of Jones Lang LaSalle Latin America, said that the area is shaping up to capitalise on its economic potential. Added to this, the company's Latin America Market Perspective report says that in the last year there has been a sharp rise in interest among global investors covering various asset opportunities.

The region's large economies, including Brazil, Mexico, and Chile, among others, are continuing to ignite growth for Latin America. Brazil, in particular, is in a strong market position, with the high-end office market thriving.

"Quick adaptability to the US-led recession has allowed [Latin America] as a whole to remain remarkably resilient during the economic downturn and to confirm bright prospects for the years to come," Mr Azcue said.
